“The best tip I could offer at this point would be to assemble a strong Green Advantage Certified Team. Each aspect of the trades from concept to bidding to implementation must be aware and realize how their trade impacts the others. Your professionals and trades are your teammates.

As a Green Advantage Certified Practitioner, many professionals from the architect to the masons to the plumbers to the framers rely on my green building expertise. I am able to contribute my green expertise to make adjustments and implement processes that highlight and facilitate the green building process as it pertains to their part of construction.

Each member of the team must be willing to learn and grow and look at the entire home building process holistically. Finding those team members is challenging, but once you do, the process of delivering a green home solution to home buyers is extraordinarily rewarding. Teamwork equals green homebuilding success!”
